work

random jobs early on: mervyn's in bellingham (in the men's dept. most of the time), a little espresso cart inside of the old fred meyer (also bellingham), the deli in the first haggen's grocery store (still bellingham), and calvary temple (aka king mountain church in the magical realm of bellingham).

between 1997 and right up until the end of 2004 i worked at bethany christian assembly in everett as their multimedia director. did a lot of video editing, print design, and for probably the latter 6 years i was there i ran the powerpoint-y stuff for just about every sunday service. i also dabbled in web stuff, IT, the phone system (yawn) and some other little things.

toward the end of my tenure there i started getting into live event visuals/VJ-ing/whatever. from little ravey parties to huge christian youth conferences, i've done dinky setups and crazy high-end, multi-screen stuff. jerry dalhberg of dc productions usually foots the bill for those big shows.

just after christmas of '04 i started working for screenlife (a company in seattle that makes the dvd board game Scene It? and some other stuff) as a motion graphics designer. made lots of great friends there, including my favorite dude Chip Stewart (still miss you pal).

at the beginning of last year (2009), i started working at cypress consulting as an interactive designer. trying hard to learn some programmy-type stuff now... and am very grateful to them for giving me a chance to develop a new set of skills. many thanks to jon arnold for the job-hookup. >:O)
